The Dance Annex Studio will be holding auditions for their 7th annual production of The Nutcracker on Sept. 9 and Sept. 11, 2023.
There is no fee to audition.
Pre-Registration is Required. Email: thedanceannexstudio@gmail.com
All participants must be available for 2 weekends of performances.
Nov. 24, 25, 26 and Dec. 1, 2, 3
General information for the Nutcracker Audition
At the audition - day of expectations
NUTCRACKER auditions 2023
Saturday September 9
1:00-1:50pm Ages 7-9/10 Youth/Beginner Dancers
2:00-2:50pm Ages 11-13/14 Intermediate Level Dancers*
*2:50-3:15 Ages 12-14, Intermediate dancers en pointe stay
3:30-4:30pm Ages 14-16/17 Inter/Advanced Levels
Note: Some dancers may be asked to stay for the next age group following their audition time. Boys ages 7-12 are encouraged to attend. Theater experience helpful. Please arrive 20 minutes before your time for measurements.
12:30-1:00pm Youth Beginner Dancer Measurements
1:30-2:00pm Intermediate Dancer Measurements
3:00-3:30pm Int/Adv Dancers
Monday September 11
6:00-7:30pm - Advanced Professional Dancers. College +
Audition class will consist of a ballet class with repertory phrases. Participants will be considered for upcoming 2023-2024 season, including The Nutcracker and ACDC Spring Concert. Dancers with strong Ballet and Modern technique encouraged to attend. Registration required.
Weekend rehearsals begin Sept. 16. Dancers must be available for rehearsals and performances Thanksgiving week and weekend and the following weekend.
